Shadowbox
I was saving for something
running shoes, perhaps
or a ringside seat
to a circus twice lived
maybe a shadowbox
is the answer, a cure
to once narrow thoughts
of lost faith set free
a shadowbox! a veil
to shelter what's received
shoes stripped of laces
soles cast to the street
